Adolf Herr from Hornberg-Niederwasser, a small village in the heart of the Black Forest, is a passionate craftsman and artist. He has dedicated his life to the manufacture of cuckoo clocks. In doing so, he has not only mastered traditional designs but also invented many of his own mechanisms and created countless unique pieces. What better way of taking an individual piece of the Black Forest back home with you?
The cuckoo clock in its original form has gained popularity all around the world and is known for its wooden house with a clock embedded in its middle. It can either have a natural structure or reveal a highly detailed decoration.
The wooden box, creating the body of the house, hides a precision clockwork and two bellows. These generate the characteristic and signature call of the cuckoo, which cheerfully and steadily announces…Naturally, the entire framework is rounded off by the distinct pendulum, that keeps the mechanical movement running.
